Vision

The NetAcademy Universe is an internet platform which fosters and aligns scientific activities worldwide, building a global research network.

Its modular architecture enables any interested scientific organization to establish its own NetAcademy by assorting its profile out of a wide range of ready made components. Each NA instance establishes its content according to its own organizational principles. Each NA instance manages its quality standard autonomously, but follows the old academic ideal: Knowledge is a shared good, it is openly discussed, the reasons for the arguments are made explicit, thus the knowledge development process is made intelligible.

Its federated structure guarantees each NA instance an autonomy but offers to combine it (as entity or in parts) with other NetAcademies which makes it part of a vast knowledge landscape.

At present, the NetAcademy instances are focused mainly in the field of media management, eBusiness, etc. But any other academic research field is welcome to joint he NetAcademy Universe.
